Praying Scripture, Praying a Bible Based Hymn

PRAYER BEAUTIFUL

May the Mind of Christ My Savior is a hymn based on Scripture. There are passages of Scripture each verse seems to be based on, all of which are prayer-worthy. I will share those verses here:

May the mind of Christ, my Savior,
Live in me from day to day,
By His love and power controlling
All I do and say.

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, (Philippians 2:5 NKJ)

16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (1Corithians 2:16 NKJ)

May the Word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour,
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossian 3:16 NKJ)

May the peace of God, my Father,
Rule my life in everything,
That I may be calm to comfort
Sick and sorrowing.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. (Colossians 3:15 NKJ)

May the love of Jesus fill me,
As the waters fill the sea;
Him exalting, self abasing,
This is victory.

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height– 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:14-21 NKJ)

May I run the race before me,
Strong and brave to face the foe,
Looking only unto Jesus
As I onward go.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NKJ)

But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NKJ)

NKJ Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJ)

May His beauty rest upon me
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
Seeing only Him.

17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands. (Psalm 90:17 NKJ)

7 How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7 NKJ)

15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, (Philippians 2:15 NKJ)

CJB Philippians 2:15 … among whom you shine like stars in the sky, (Philippians 2:15 CJB)
